My interest in tattoos began at an early age, colouring in my grandas faded outlines. After a childhood spent drawing, discovering rock music, spray paint and Indian ink tattoos. I left college qualified with a Diploma in Art. I continued studying Graphic Design and Illustration, gained another Diploma at the Glasgow College of Building and Printing. I then served my time as an Illustrator with British Aerospace Engineering Systems.
I taught myself to tattoo and began working in Tattoo studios locally and quickly internationally.
I opened Valhalla Tattoo Studio in Kilmarnock 2013.
I mostly work in black & grey but I also enjoy colour work. If its neo traditional, japanese, realistic, dotwork, geometric or illustrative then Im interested.
Outside of tattooing, I have 3 children, so I don't have time for much, other than my family, cars and motorbikes.
My studio has grown from humble beginnings on London Road, it quickly expanded to a shop at the bottom of the high street. I worked conventions in europe and had a few tattooers come to the UK to work with me.
Then I opened a walk in shop in the centre of town offering Laser removal and Body Piercing.
Currently Valhalla is a custom built private studio, housing a dedicated piercing studio and a laser clinic, I have a really great team, multiple artists and professionals, who bring years of experience and their own styles to the studio.
